Svea Windwehr

Svea Windwehr is a senior government affairs & public policy analyst at Google in Berlin, where she focuses on content regulation, platform governance and AI policy. Before joining Google, Svea was a Mercator fellow and spent her fellowship year working at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Previously, she worked as a policy officer at the European Commission’s Digital Policy Directorate-General and interned with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin. Svea studied international relations, political science and law at Maastricht University and the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a master’s degree from the University of Oxford’s Internet Institute.
