Gabriel Nicholas is a joint research fellow at the New York University's Information Law Institute, Engelberg Center on Innovation Law and Policy and the NYU Center for Cybersecurity. His research interests include competition in the tech sector, algorithmic explainability and cybersecurity. Previously, Gabriel served as a software developer at Yahoo. His written work has appeared in the Wired, Slate, the Boston Globe, and the LA Review of Books. Gabriel holds a master’s degree in information management and systems from the University of California at Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from Tufts University.
