Lauren Luo

Lauren Luo is a software engineer at Meta in New York City. In her role at Meta, she currently builds data transparency tools for Instagram and previously developed secure and scalable infrastructure for photographs on Facebook. Outside of her professional work, she volunteers with the Microsoft TEALs program as a computer science teacher at a New York City public high school. Previously, she served as a Bluebonnet Fellow, where she analyzed civic data in support of a district attorney’s race in Kansas. During her studies, she pursued research interests in international security, cyber policy and US federal privacy regulation. Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and American studies from Wellesley College.
